Racing and riding MX has always been one of favorite things to do.  Most everything else is just a cheap substitute for the sport I love, but it is also a sport can't really afford.  I was ranked #1 in the the State of Colorado as a 250 amateur before turning Pro.  Racing in the Pro class was one of first goals in MX and as a PRO/Expert I earned several TOP 10 race finishes, and a couple TOP 5's but I could not stay healthy, nor afford to cover my health insurance when I was younger and had to give it up for a while.  Now I race when I can afford it and when I can get the time.  I took up Downhill Mountain Bike Racing as a substitute for MX when my children came along.  DH is not cheap, but with sponsors help it is cheaper than MX for me at my level.
