Annual Halloween ‘cirque de diablo’ the creative handiwork of Mike Trejo If it’s Halloween season, it must be Hell’s Circus.
An annual tradition, Mike Trejo’s rock and roll psychodrama invades The Impossible Players Playhouse, 1201 N. Main, tonight and tomorrow.

But don’t take the devilish overtones seriously. This is all in good fun, Trejo said.“Rumors about the Hell’s Circus show being of a ‘Satanic’ nature are false. If you take time to listen to the lyrics of the music you may actually find them to be quite the opposite.
“The name ‘Hell’s Circus’ comes from a British fighter squad who fought the Nazi Luftwaffe over the skies of England during World War II. The name also fits with the
theme of the show and the fact that some people have always said that rock and roll is the devil’s music.”
“Hell’s Circus” is the product of Trejo and his 15 cohorts’ love of Bgrade horror movies, rock music and theatrics. Expect to see bad clowns, dancers, heavy metal musicians, comedians, actors and more.
Featured performers include musicians from Se7en Days Lost, along with the dance group “The Graveyard Girls,” from Lori’s Studio of Dance & Performing Arts.
“Mix in a few actors with a little creative direction from Leta Langdon, director of this year’s Beulah Melodrama, and you have a cast of characters willing to do things that most people would shy away from — just for the sake of your entertainment.
“Music and madness mix in a wicked blend of terror and
delight,” Trejo added.

“Some
content is not intended for small children,” said Trejo.
“This is really a PG-13 show and all minors 12 and under
must be accompanied by an adult.”General admission tickets
are $5 in advance and (oooh, spooky) $6.66 at the door.
